10 virtual communities you should consider joining today
Who’s got your back when you need it?
In addition to personal friends and family, the communities that I belong to have my back when I need it. They are communities that have a shared identity, interests, and purpose. We look out for each other in many ways. Providing encouragement, empathy, compassion, advice, resources, contacts, ideas and celebrate wins whenever a community member needs it.
If you’re looking for a virtual community to belong to, here are some of my personal favorites:
Where women in tech come together to build their careers, get peer or expert advice, support, and mentorship. Free to join.
Where women share advice, resources, and job opportunities. Free and paid membership options.
Where women solopreneurs connect, share knowledge, and advance each other. 2 free trial sessions, paid membership afterward.
Where women in tech connect and support each other in achieving their professional and personal goals. Free and paid membership options.
Where underrepresented tech and startup talent get connected with new job opportunities that advance their career. Free Slack community.
Where people who are looking to meet other people with similar interests and career goals get matched to connect one-on-one. Free platform membership.
Where diverse individuals (in people & culture) and skilled thought leaders from around the globe come together to share ideas and resources. Free Slack community.
Where people (in sales, business development, marketing, customer success) share content and resources to help you scale the company. Free Slack community.
Where founders and entrepreneurs in NYC build community through co-working, knowledge sharing and engineering serendipity, alongside like-minded people. Free to join Slack community, some events are paid to attend.
